Diezösan Museum St. Afra

Worldly artifacts await your discovery in the new Diezösan Museum north of the cathedral. You will find fascinating objects on exhibit in stylish historical rooms, such as the 1000 year old bronze door of the cathedral, the crypt where weapons from Emperor Karl V or the mess robes from Holy Ulrich from the 10th century are kept.

In addition you can view numerous other artifacts such as valuable altar crosses, paintings and sculptures.
