This festival celebrates independence from the brace of the historical 30 Year War. Podiums, events and presentations to do with the policy of peace and inter- religious communication make up the festival. Everyone is welcome to attend, particularily those who value freedom.
What sound impossible is in fact true! The day of the freedom festival, August the 8th, is an official bank holiday but only in Augsburg and nowhere else.
